This review will cover the beginning to the end and in between our journey:

We started in Barcelona Spain.

If you are flying in I recommend a day early. It lets you time correct and a chance to see some of Barcelona. Our checked luggage was lost by American out of Philadelphia. Half the flights luggage was lost. We thought we would never see it again but because we had an extra day it was at our door on the ship. Stay near the metro off of La Rambla and you can take the metro if traveling light (2-3 luggage and shoulder bags). Get off at the Drassanes stop. You then will walk a short distance to get on a cruise bus that cost 3 euros each. Walking to the cruise ship is not advised. You will understand when you travel via taxi or bus.

Once you arrive in the ship port you can easily drop luggage off and get through the lines easily.

Once on the ship you can eat and drink till your room is available.

Rooms: An inside room is functional. If you plan on only sleeping, showering and resting in the room then this option is great.

The balcony rooms have a varied size balcony and a few more square feet.

FOOD:

Keep in mind you will be off the ship at ports on excursions or roaming on your own. You will only eat breakfast and dinner typically. You will want to try some of the local fare.

If you want to buy the optional restaurant packages that is fine but not necessary. Each to their own. We did the Teppanyaki Restaurant. It was good but if you have been to Benihanas you have had that experience.

The Chinese Noodle Bar has a decent menu and was good. This is complimentary. Its worth a dinner.

Taste Restaurant (Main Dining Room) Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner: Each day they have a exact menu and a menu that changes daily. So you can try something new or get your typical. We had success here one night. Some of the people we met had an experience of no service. I don’t think this is normal.

The Manhattan Room Restaurant (Main Dining Room) Dinner Dined here multiple times. We enjoyed the changing menu along with the standard. Very similar to the Taste. We had one evening where it was slow but it was great.

Garden Café The Buffet on the 15th floor. Wide variety of Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. If you can’t find something here then you will be a tough person to please. They change the food consistently but it has something for everyone.

O’Sheehans Bar and Grill; I am not a wing fan but these are the best ever. A variety of food on the menu. Well worth the late night eat as well.

Spice H20 Area with pool(small) and big screen. Food is a buffet line and typically burgers, hot dogs and wings. Bar is full.

Other restaurants are available but we did not eat at them.

EXCURSIONS:

If you want to see a ton at each location then you better stay on land and pop from city to city. You have a decent amount time getting from the ship to locations.

Also when your excursion tickets says a meeting time and location don’t show up exactly at the time or late. You hold up other people who paid the exact amount and want it to go smoothly. Also be back to your busses at the time they tell you….They will leave you.

Do your homework. Let me Repeat do your homework. Know what you want to accomplish. You can walk miles or be casual depending on what you want to accomplish.

Naples: We did the Pompeii with tour guide. They don’t tell you this but once you depart on your journey you will stop by a local jewel place. 35 minutes of time there. You then journey off to the excursion you wanted in the first place. The guides are well informed and detailed. You will NOT see all of Pompeii. Not enough time but worth it.

Rome: After and hour plus drive on a bus to Rome we did the Hop on Hop off tour. The bus goes one direction only but at each stop they come by every 20-30 minutes. Look up the Red hop on hop off path. We got on the bus and took one ride to the next stop and walked it the rest of the way. We walked 11 miles that day. Pick the main thing you want to accomplish and do it first. We did the Coliseum first. Upon arriving you will see endless lines. We were approached by a women selling front of the line passes for 30 euros each for the guided Colosseum & Ancient Rome Tour with Forum & Palatine Hill. We did it versus waiting in line for 1-2 hours at a cost of 12 euros a piece and only the Colosseum in the price. It was worth every euro. It took about 2 ½ hours.

We then headed to Trevi Fountain. It is crowded with tourists but beautiful

We then walked toward Vatican City. We arrived just able to see the outside and surrounding area. The day we were there the pope was there doing a service preventing the Sistine Chapel and others from access till noon. Many people were offering front of the line passes. We didn’t have enough time to do that.

The City is beautiful and not enough time to see everything in the time allowed.

Florence and Pisa

We did the Explore on your own tour. The bus guide gave us endless information to use as we explored on our own. Pisa is quick. 45 Minutes Quick. There isn’t a ton to see but it is worth seeing. Beware of the pick pockets They are young women with umbrellas and tennis shoes. Our guide pointed them out. You then head out to Florence.

Cannes

We didn’t have an excursion on this location. We tendered out to shore. Many boats back and forth to shore. If you want to put on the bathing suit and take a boat onshore there is a great little beach 2 football fields away. Aqua blue water. Be careful on those on shore. They may have an agenda for anything left on the beach. We walked to the castle. It is up hill and a little energy will be used getting there. There are a lot of shops to go through and dining places. You will see some amazing Yachts…

We went to the boat early afternoon and chilled by the pool and bar.

Mallorca

We took a bus to Soller and then the train back to Parma. Soller is small and unique. You will be there for a short period to roam the town. You then hop on the oldest train in Europe. Unique trip. I liked it but it seemed high for what you get. You then can wonder the Parma are for abt an hour.

You then get on the Ship to head back to Barcelona.

They have entertainment. Howl at the Moon, the Cavern, shows and more.

Each to their own. We liked The Cavern, Howl at the Moon and we saw one show that was done well. The Casino area is rather impressive. Many people each night having fun winning and losing money.

We did the free alcohol as our free option. Worth every free penny lol. They had a wide selection of beers and endless selection of mixed drinks and alcohol. Beers: Coors Light, Lagunitas IPA, Stella, Dos XX, Estelle, Blue Moon, etc. Tip your Waiter or Waitress ( they deserve it) and they will take care of you. Luigi and Mervin in the pool bar were awesome on or cruise.

The Ship is amazing. It has something for everyone and if you get the room that you need that fits your style then you will have a goodtime if you want to have a good time. Anyone that has given a bad review either had one event that ruined for them even though the ship is an awesome ship and the people working do an amazing job making your stay with them awesome.

Getting off the Boat. You will be given options to get off in your room. We took a taxi to our hotel. It was a breeze. Taxis cost abt 25 euro from ship to airport. They have transport supplied by ship if you want the better option.
