Our friends, celebrating their 50th Anniversary, invited us to join them on this cruise. My husband gets seasick so we were a bit nervous, but decided to go. The river was calm and usually we didn’t realize the boat was even moving. The cabin was smaller than we expected, but everything was well thought out. The entire crew was excellent; personable, professional, and friendly. The included tours were excellent, though we thought all tours should be included in the price rather than offer extra charge tours daily that often had conflicting times with the included tours. WiFi was frustrating, but we expected that it might be a problem. The food was good and there were a variety of selections each meal. Our waiters were excellent. A suggestion is to serve small plates on the Bavarian night as the rush to the buffet of the entire dining room at the same time was awful that one night. Every evening before dinner our program director, Oliver would give a little talk explaining the next day’s activities etc. He was just great, handling everything with ease, answering all questions, and providing humor and entertainment. We would definitely do another river cruise if we saw one that went to cities we might want to visit.
