From start to finish, our cruise and land tour was perfect. We stayed two days pre-cruise in Vancouver and had one day post-cruisetour in Anchorage to explore. Prefered cruising Northbound which included Glacier Bay and College Fjord. Ship's common areas had small cosmetic issues but a beautiful ship. Has a tropical theme that they suppliment with Alaska theme during this season. Dining options wer plenty, including a delicious 24-hour venue. Comedian and British Invasion show was top notch. Service exceeded our expectations on the cruise and majority of cruisetour option. Top stops were Juneau, Glacier Bay, College Fjord and Copper River Princess Lodge. Denali park was a life-long dream come true.
Now to the bad. Area near Explorers Club, Deck 7, had a musty smell and seemed to leak upon occasion. Would not recommend McKinley Princess Lodge for cosmetic reasons and cleanliness of rooms but it did have the best viewing opportunity for Mt. Denali.
If in Alaska, would travel with Princess again. Shore excursions and baggage transfers/coach travel/train travel was flawless.
Upgraded, this room provided more space. We had a dressing area which was a nice area to keep luggage. Plenty of hanging and storage space. Shower smaller than most from our previous cruises, but functional. Fridge and large, flat screen TV. Clean with excellent steward.
Highly recommend with tours to fit your time and style
Great little town to just walk around, shop and take in the views.
Give yourself enough time to explore the trails and informative film.
Exellent views, great staff and narrative, just good ol' fun.
Wish we had more time here. Rangers were excellent, provided great narrative. Suggest getting up early and be out on deck as you sail into the bay. Best opportunity to view otter, whales, birds, and misty views.
Connected to cruisetour with a boat ride to Valdez via Prince William Sound. Lots of sea life, great professional staff. Cute port town.
