We wanted to do Alaska and decided the Bliss being a new ship would be great. Overall we had a great cruise. We are familiar with the way NCL works as far as free style. All our dinner and show reservations were booked way before we got on the ship. It baffles me that many other cruisers find this so difficult todo. Maybe they need better travel agents. Since we are from S Florida we usually cruise on RCC or NCL. Both have their pros and cons. I suggest that picky guests either rent a yacht or go on a smaller ship where they can get personal attention. Not on a 4,000 plus ship?

PROS: Beautiful ship. German built, sails like a BMW. Love the elegance soft colors. Not flashy or tacky. My cabin was comfortable and my room attendant kept it clean and brought us what we requested. Food was overall good. The specialty restaurants- LeBristro and Cagney,s were very good. The buffet had many many choices. If you can’t find something to eat then you need a private chef! We always found a table at the buffet. And there were two attendees directing guests to find an empty table. The most crowded buffet I’ve been on is on RCC. This is a breeze. Entertainment was good - Jersey Boys, Havana and The Beatles had great performers, singers, dancers. Nobody got up to leave. Let’s face it - even in Broadway there are bad shows - it’s all about taste. The excursion desk assistant helped us change a tour and it was very easy. Maybe you should go when there aren’t that many in line. Excursions were on time and well organized. No problems whatsoever. Embarkation was super fast.

CONS: The observation lounge is truly amazing but it’s rude, selfish guests who take over sections all day for their friends and who put their stinky feet on top of the lounges and tables? Really? This is not the cruise line faults but it’s the lack of manners from guests. No employee who makes $5 a day is going to tell a paying guest to put on their shoes or get off a chair. So run and reserve your place,
