I have several cruise experience and this is my first one with NCL. After reading all the praise about the Haven I had a high expectation. This cruise however turned out to be quite disappointing.

First of all, I must say the ship is truly beautiful, the aft Haven cabin we stayed at was gorgeous. The aft balcony was huge with very nice view at back of ship, we enjoyed the balcony the most throughout the cruise. Layout of cabin and bathrooms were great and the bed + linens was so heavenly comfortable. I think that's the best part about being in the Haven class.

OK we were expecting some luxury over the top service on board. It was nothing like that, nothing similar to a 5 star hotel on land. Concierge staff was courteous, professional, but cold. They answered your questions and booked your stuff like robots. At some point their eyes looked away while still replying to you. They didn't look genuine and you wouldn't feel comfortable asking more questions. Yes they helped us get in racetrack, laser tag, and dinners, but that's about it. I mean shouldn't such service (booking things) a part of concierge's job of any class on any ship and since when it became a luxury? Butler and restaurant staff were all very helpful and friendly but at the same time did nothing spectacular.
