Did not meet expectations but mostly made up for that with the unexpected
First, th things I expected that were not very good – great scuba diveing and some great kayaking over shallow clear waters and reefs.
I expected some great scuba diving during the 7 night cruise - hopefully two times, with 2 dives each time for 4 dives total. Two dives is pretty common for one morning or afternoon dive trip. Instead scuba diving was a low priority and it seemed they were saying due to unexpected conditions and scheduling we only reached the dive shop that Blue Lagoon Cruises uses, late on the 2 days I went and only got one dive each trip, just 2 dives in 7 days. The first time was late afternoon and the dive site was close to the dive shop – almost like get their money, get em wet and wrap things up for the day. The underwater visibility was not as good as expected – maybe 40 feet on the first dive and 60 feet on the second trip. I believe both dive sites were recommended ones and they were OK – just not as good as expected and seemed a low priority for BLC(Blue Lagoon Cruises).
Seemed pretty good for a small ship. A little tight for space but OK. the A/C temperature control in our cabin, and others told me the same, did not seem to work properly and the temperature would go several degrees below the set point. We solved that by turning the unit off and on as needed. The bathroom was on the small side and unexpectedly there was no shower curtains, so the floor and some of the rest of the bathroom gets very wet. They do provide extra towels for the floor to step on out of the wet bathroom and room service makes sure it is all dried up each day. Everything else seemed to work fine, however we did hear some passengers complain about toilets not working.
