Baltic cruise and Russia were on our bucket list. We spent 2 nights in Amsterdam prior and got to the pier around 1:30. As elite members, we had a special line so check-in and embarkation went quickly. Cabins were ready when we boarded. Nice to have the champagne again that we missed on our last cruise. Our veranda cabin on deck 9 was exactly what we were used to. Plenty of closet space and hangers. Comfy bed. Okay drawer space. I hate the over the bed space because it's hard to get to but it works for certain things. We did bring magnetic hooks so we could hang a few things up. Bathroom was good. Some vanity space and that great closet next to the vanity with all the shelves. Add 2 drawers and a good shower and you have a small but very nice bathroom. Our room attendant, Hector, did a great job keeping it clean. He was always there when we needed him. Air conditioning worked great since it was in the upper 80's most places we visited. So why did I write "noisy Cabin" in the subject line. On deck 9, the only thing above you is another cabin. Same to your right and left. The cabin above us seemed to be dropping bowling balls on the floor from 4pm until 10 or 11pm. The cabin to our left was fine. The cabin to our right had 2 adults and 2 kids. We think when the adults were away, the kids played. It was so loud we couldn't relax. I went to guest services 3 times. The first time they said to call security if it happens again. The 2nd time they said they sent someone to the 10th deck who found kids running through the halls and they took care of that so there shouldn't be a problem anymore. Wrong. The time time nothing happened. So the cabin was fine, it was just the passengers who ruined it for us and foreced this rating to be lower.

The food on this cruise was consistently better than the last cruise. We had 6pm seating. The service was excellent as always.

I sort of like the new Elite drink perk that lets Elite members drink from a certain menu at any bar between 5-7pm. Or we can go to the skylight lounge as before but it's still only 3 drinks. The Captain's club host, Elizabeth, was outstanding. I don't know how she keeps that smile on her face 24/7.
