Having previously done 4 river cruises with Viking and been totally happy we chose this cruise because Scenic offered more time on the rivers than its rivals. We wanted longer than one week to appreciate the area and the idea of all inclusive certainly appealed.

We travelled by Eurostar direct to Lyon where we were picked by a comfortable people carrier and transported to Chalon-sur-Saone. Embarkation was smooth and we received a very friendly welcome from all staff who greeted us. We were able to relax in the bar until we decided to go to the cabin which was spotless.

We loved the fact we could use the balcony as extra space and open and close the window as and when we wanted. Read more
