We chose this cruise because we’d never been to Roatan and heard great thing about Royal Carribbean. I was slightly disappointed with a few things on this ship. The security team pulled my son’s bag for second inspection, which is no big deal but they lost a pair of his shoes. It was immediately brought to their attention and to this day, I’m still waiting for the case to be addressed. Their solutiion was to ask if we needed help to look through our cabin to find the lost shoes. Next, we booked a snorkeling shore excursion in Roatan. The buses picked us up on time but by the time our group reached the shore, there were not enough working boats or life jackets for us to snorkel. We waited 2.5 hours for someone to pick us up and take us back to the port. In the meantime, the owner of the dock and boats was sitting around drinking beer and selling bottles of water. We wasted our entire day sitting in a dirt lot not being able to do anything. We ended up getting a refund for the excursion but were not compensated in anyway for not being able to enjoy Roatan at all.
Costa Maya was great. We decided to try our luck with snorkeling (again) and had a great time. We did Cozumel on our own. If you go here, try La Choza. It’s a great place to eat.
We traveled with a group of 18 with ages ranging from 60 to 3. The kids had a great time in the pool and splash zone. There older kids had a great time on the basketball courts and water slides. They enjoyed the onboard entertainment.
There are two Pullman beds in a smaller room. The room is very small with hardly extra room to walk around. The sofa pulls out to full size bed and the there was a king size bed. Overall the cabin had an excellent view.
