Our 13 year old twin granddaughters dance team went on this cruise, so we went along as Grandparents. It was the first cruise for all of our family of 2 kids and 5 adults. The embarkation went very smoothly. But the disembarkation had long lines that were rather slow. We had to wait for our time to leave and it was later than they said. Our daughter picked us up and the taxi's took up all of the space, so we had to walk quite far. The ship was beautiful. The elevators were almost always busy and full, but we didn't mind. We weren't really in a hurry to get anywhere. There was a lot of walking since the ship was so big. We loved our cabin with a balcony. Such great views. We liked the schedule of the day and the drink of the day! Also the folded towel animals on our bed each night. We enjoyed the garden cafe, even though it was very busy. There were so many choices. We ate in the Taste/Savor and Local, both good service and good food and fancy for being free. We tried to eat at the Manhatten but there was too big of a line. We didn't eat in the other restaurants. We loved Havana, Jersey Boys and Beatlemania. The entertainment in the Atrium was so much fun. The crew members Silas, Jose, Jacky, Alex were so funny and the game/trivia shows were fun to watch. We had great service by our crew steward Sopiyan, who had worked for NCL for 17 years and he even knew our names. All of the staff was welcoming and pleasant. We loved the greeters in the garden cafe who sprayed our hands with disinfectant. They always said , washy washy or smiley, smiley! My camera broke and I was able to buy a new one in the camera shop on the ship. The pool was lots of fun, it felt like a party. Our granddaughters had a lot of fun there. They also went to the teen room and enjoyed it too. We live close to Seattle but loved seeing the skyline when we left and when we woke up on the last day. The Ketchikan excursion on a trolley to totem poles was interesting. We liked the city and the shopping and coupon books. We enjoyed the husky cart ride and petting the puppies and learning about the Iditerod husky dogs in Juneau. Our driver Ralph, asked us if we had time, so he took an unplanned extra 10 min to see the Mendenhall Glacier and let us get out and take pictures. In Skagway we went on the Klondike family experience where we learned about panning for gold and tried it. Bottled some root beer and had a great BBQ lunch. We got to pet the husky dogs and puppies and learn more about them. In Victoria we took a shuttle into downtown and got to walk around. All good experiences. Our granddaughters had as much fun on this cruise as the adults did. Their dance team got to go to the rehearsal of Havana. We would all take another cruise.

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony BA

Our cabin room was rather narrow but ok for two people. It needed more plug in outlets. We had to bring an extension cord for my husband's Bipap machine. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was big and just right. The desk space was alright. We put our suitcases under the bed and had enough storage room in the closet. We loved the balcony. Comfortable chairs and good views. The couch was hard and not very comfortable. The drawers were full of blankets.

Port Reviews

Victoria

We paid $26 for the two of us to ride a big bus round trip over and back to the downtown. The buses were lined up right outside our ship so they were easy to get to. Then the bus would come back every 15 min to go back to the ship.. We enjoyed walking around the shops downtown and looking at the harbor. We wish it could have been longer and earlier in the day.
