We chose this cruise for the destinations on the Danube River. We started in Nuremberg, went to Krems, Vienna, and finished in Budapest. Viking does an excellent job with the on-board services. We thought the staff through all the stations was excellent (Front Desk, Waitress, Restaurant Servers, and particularly the Program Cruise Director). Be sure to sign up for the Silver Server package (allows you to have all types of on-board wine, beer, coffee, and liquor). The evenings were wonderful - - after dinner we went to the lounge where Viking put on some brief entertainment (about 30 minutes), and then the piano musician (and a few additional instruments) played any requests. The evening winds down about 11 to 11:30 PM, so there is no disco going all night long. This is not a young adult cruise - - it is targeted for people aged 50 to 75, who are physically in good condition to take part in the excursions & sight-seeing in each town. The only 'children' on the cruise were a few college students, who were with their parents.

Cabin Review

French Balcony

The cabin was about the right size - - as we really only used it to clean up / get ready for the day, and to sleep. The French Balcony was nice, we sat out several times as the afternoon cruise(s) were proceeding.
