First, our neighbors took this cruise several years ago and recommended it to us...we were extremely happy they did! Our guide was most informative and stayed with us the entire trip. Several times there was a change in program for one reason or another, (sometimes through no fault of Viking), but they always tried to substitute with equal value.

The Sampan ride through the Lesser Three Gorges was breathtaking. For the region of China we toured, I don't think we missed much.. Three Gorges Dam; pandas in Chongqing; Terra Cotta soldiers in Xian; the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Hutong rickshaw ride and Kung Fu show in Beijing.

Our state room was spacious with a balcony. Lots of river traffic on the Yangtze made for interesting scenery. The meals were delicious..not being an adventureous eater, I always found Western food on the ship. You could have had filet mignon every night! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
