Silver Shadow Review

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!

Review for Alaska Cruise on Silver Shadow

We chose this cruise because we wanted a ship with a small amount of people and we wanted to cruise round trip from Vancouver. We researched the cruise ship online and all of the ports before making a decision and it sounded like what we were looking for. It turned out to be absolutely perfect!! The ship was just the right size and it was beautiful and spotless from top to bottom and everything in between. Our cabin was on the Veranda deck in the middle of the ship and we could not have asked for better. We had a private balcony with more storage and space than we needed to use. The double sinks in the bathroom along with the shower and separate tub was very impressive and more than enough space.

There were several dining choices of restaurants including a dining room with open seating daily and nightly. The nightly entertainment and activity choices as well as excursions gave us a chance to see everything we wanted to see and then some. We had a butler that came to our cabin when we arrived and she could not have done any more for us than she did. She brought coffee and breakfast each morning and each evening when we arrived back to our cabin at the end of the day, we found the following days news and candy displayed out for us. Anything that we needed during the day was done with a smile. We used the fitness center on board which had all the latest equipment including water and towels as well as instructors, classes and anything else you might need.

I could keep going and going, but I think you get the idea that Silver sea the Silver Shadow is a fabulous line and we would not hesitate to sail it again along with any of their other ships.

Cabin Review

Veranda Suite

Cabin V3

I know it was Veranda in the middle of the ship on deck 6, but I'm not sure of the category. The suite was beautiful. We had a private balcony and a queen bed with a nice sitting area with a sofa, chair and coffee table. The bathroom was a good size as described above in my narrative. The walk in closet had about 8 drawers that were a good size as well as a hanging area and also robes and slippers hanging in it when we arrived. There was a large drawer under the shelf in the closet as well. There is also a refrigerator and your choice of beverages including alcohol brought to your cabin by your butler.

Port Reviews

Sitka

Sitka was a cute small town and easy to walk around. The amount of time that the ship was docked was the perfect amount of time to spend there.
