My husband booked this cruise as a surprise anniversary gift. Little did he know that royal must be one of the most money hungry cruise line companies there are. Between beverage packages, meal packages, and the closure of all the pools on the last day at sea, everything Is about getting you to spend more money. Every issue I had was met with a reason why the cruise line is not in control of whatever the issue was. We had bad weather up until the last day which of course meant sunny skies but no pools could be used because of rough seas. They also closed the top deck because of it. Thus meaning there was all of the cruise ship guests crammed onto one deck. The only activities offered are all shopping based, such as jewelry sale, T-shirt sale, liquor sale. Spa prices are outrageous! $129!for an hour long Swedish massage! Ha! This is the third cruise I’ve taken, 1st with Royal Caribbean and definitely last too. I’ll stick with Holland America.
