Everyone who has taken a Viking Cruise raved about it so I began with very high expectations and was delighted they were met! It was luxurious to be able to unpack and stay in the same lovely room for a week. Every day, we returned from breakfast to a made up room and at night, the next day’s itinerary and other information was left on our bed. The service staff were friendly and helpful without exception and grew to know us. The guided tour each day was just enough and allowed us to continue exploring on our own if we chose. The food was excellent - like eating out at a fine restaurant for every meal. Socializing with other guests allowed us interaction but also, we had plenty of opportunity to be by ourselves. Viking really seems to have North American guest service down to a fine art. We have already booked another cruise!
