Let me start by saying that this was our 5rh cruise. All of our cruises have been with Carnival. We chose this cruise because we live near NYC and we wanted to experience a new ship for once. I was not a big fan of the NYC cruise terminal. It was very confusing and parking was ridiculous. We used park jockey and found a garage a few blocks away for way cheaper. Despite the terminal being a little disorganized embarkation was a breeze. We always pre check in online so we never have to wait long to get on the ship. As soon as we boarded we were able to go to our room which was nice. I do not recommend using the elevators on embarkation dat until they are done delivering all of the luggage otherwise you'll be waiting a long time. That being said we received our luggage a couple hours after setting sail, which didnt seem unreasonable to me. After walking about a bit we went straight to guy's burgers and got lunch. They're so good!!! We always do the your time dining and that was little different this time. Despite what other people say you can not check in on the app. You have to go to deck 5 to check in. Then they'll print your ticket and send you to deck 3. We never had to wait long but it is a little inconvenient. The food was a mixed bag in the main dining room. It was best on the formal nights which is to be expected. We did try both the sushi and ji ji's Asian for dinner. They were both very reasonable and excellent food! You can try guy's bbq and the Italian place for free for lunch most days which is nice. The shows were amazing. Best we've seen!!! Imprint was our favorite band to watch but velvet crush was also very good! Chris is the best and most memorable cruise director we've had and Joey who ran the punchline comedy was great too! As a whole I'd say the entertainment on this ship was too notch! The decor on this ship was beautiful! The best we've seen so far. The sports area offered a lot for both kids and adults. The ropes course was very fun. I wish I could tell you about the sky ride but it broke down on the second day. Hopefully they'll fix it soon! The waterslides were amazing, especially the blue body one!! That's my favorite slide I've ever been on. It goes so fast! The serenity deck was really nice. Bigger than it's been on most of the other ships. The pools and hot tubs were all open until midnight which was a nice change from the usual 9 pm close time. As a whole this ship was amazing! The staff was still learning but I'd say they've pretty much figured it out. This ship is definitely worth checking out!

Cabin 8C

The cabin was very spacious. We loved the new tv that allowed you to access your spending accounts and pixel photos. The steward was great. Everything was very clean.
