We have river cruised twice previously (Rhine and Rhone) on another river cruise line and were just looking for a change. Our Travel Agent recommended AMAWaterways based on the excellent reviews and feedback she had received from previous clients. We trained from Frankfurt to Nuremburg and traveling in 1st class with large suitcases is no picnic, since there wasn't anywhere to store the larger suitcases.

We arrived early on the AMACERTO and was actually greeted by the Captain, who arranged to have our suitcases taken onboard. We were ready to party, but unfortunately, we had to buy out own beverages (we expected beer or wine since it was lunch). Our party of four then bought five bottles of wine to get the week started.

The cabin was ready early and our was in excellent shape ( with balcony on the 3rd deck). Our room was serviced at least twice a day and the AC worked great. Read more
