Amawaterways was recommended by a travel agent friend and I am so thankful to her. While I've traveled on ocean cruises and several land trips, this was my first river cruise and I wasn't sure what to expect. A friend had heard me talking about this trip and joined me in the adventure - two 70 yr. old women off on an adventure!

We planned to arrive in Basel the morning prior to our sailing date but due to flight problems didn't arrive until late the night before sailing so weren't able to explore Basel as much as we'd hoped. We did make it to the Dreiländereck - the point where Switzerland, France, and Germany meet. It's in a working dock area- certainly not lovely but it is a cool photo op spot.

We boarded and boy, lots easier than the ocean cruise ships. We were personally escorted to our room (room 311) which was properly set up with twin beds. The room was spacious enough to allow 2 women to get themselves ready for the day without too much bumping into each other. The was ample storage and the sliding glass doors opened to the french balcony.

Cabin A+

Good storage, nicely appointed, complimentary bottled water every day. Excellent housekeeping service.
