We chose to get married on carnival sensation so our family could join us. The package seemed affordable and it advertised coordinators pre-cruise and during ceremony and reception. Turns out the pre-coordinators after only allowed to tell you what you can't do, then you get to guess as to how to plan around that. The only reason our wedding was successful was bc the on board coordinators came through with spot on instructions. The cake they made was dry and flavorless (we chose lemon and marble). For a 2 hour event, it's not worth it at all.
The worst part of it all was the photography options for our wedding! We spent $900 on 45 photos to barely get time to pick our photos in a busy hallway full oh hundreds of people, with constant interruptions, after a long day of excursions and they still managed to give us a duplicate photo. So, $900 for 44 photos. This is the second cheapest option. They force you to wait on the photographer that took the photos, that is constantly booked at another gimmicky event if you try to ask to see them again - even though there's always 5 standing in the gallery doing nothing but pushing people to buy their dinner photos. There's no portal or way to purchase the package post cruise!!! There is however a long drawn out option of CDs being mailed with instructions if you'd like to buy more (@ $30 per 8x10).
But, the boat itself was disgusting! It's old, and it's never clean. The carpet is disgusting (even in our fathers penthouse rooms). The balconies are a joke and just take away cabin space. The food was mediocre and often cold. They constantly had photographers and gimmicky things interrupting your meals so they could sell you something later. The pillows are amazing!!! The beds are hard and full of dips and crevasses.
