I loved the itinerary of this cruise! I was particularly intrigued by Malta and Rhodes. They did not disappoint. We went ashore every day.

SHIP: We had an aft facing suite on this cruise. It was a special occasion so we splurged. Our overall experience was great. Yes its an older ship but I like the layout and its a good size, not terribly big. I feel the ship is kept up well and does not look run down. Its also a fast ship! Our suite experience enhanced the overall experience of the trip. There are a lot of perks involved in choosing this so if you can do it, go for it. We did not take our kids this time, we went as a couple.

FOOD: was excellent. Main dining rooms were great and specialty restaurants great too, except for La Trattoria. It wasnt bad, just not much on the menu and not worth paying extra for. Skip it. Buffet at Raffles was also great.

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Penthouse with Large Balcony

Cabin SG

Great cabin space. Nicely appointed and spacious. Great views off the balcony. We spent a lot of time there. BUT you must know that the engine noise and vibration is a problem at night when you are trying to sleep! It was fine when we weren't sailing fast to the next port (under 19 knots) but over 20 knots was loud!! We did have to rush to our next port about 1/2 of the cruise. Luckily I wore earplugs and was able to sleep. If you want a suite, look at reviews for the forward facing suites on deck 10 of the Spirit. They may be quiter but may be windy on the balcony. As long as you are aware of this, deck 9 aft suites are special. There are only about 4 of them and the only ones on this ship.
