We wanted to take an Inaugural cruise on a brand new ship and go someplace new and different than past vacations. The ship itself was amazing in the way it maneuvers in and out of narrow channels and into the various ports. Much different and better than the old days when tugs had to bring in and port ships. Perhaps most impressive was the way this huge ship was able to spin around in the narrow channel so all aboard the vessel could get a clear view of the Sawyer Glacier. And the Master captain's handling of the ship throughout the ice flows was deliberate and impressive as well. The Beatle act in the recreated Liverpool Cavern club too was great, especially their final performance on the final day in the main theater. The shows like Jersey Boys and Havana were tops. Food excellent. Staff well prepared and kind. Although there were many signs posted about the need to wear shoes in places like the main observation lounge, there was no enforcement of the rule and many people removed shoes and socks and walked the rugs and sat on the floor in the front open spaces and made many people take notice of the unsanitary conditions they were creating.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BD

Nice cabin, but a bit tight for a balcony. Really didn't like the idea that the button to flush the toilet was behind the toilet seat. Each time you want to flush you must touch and hold the seat while pushing the flush button. The public restrooms had the button above the seat higher up on the wall and they were automatic. Even if manual, they should have been higher so no one had to touch the seat and cover.
