Chose Windstar for second time due to casual nature of cruise and generous size of cabin. Went from Rome to Barcelona. Love the small ship and the advantage of docking right at the town we are visiting. Upgraded one level from last time to a balcony cabin and appreciated the large glass door. Do wish they had balconies large enough to sit on. Ship very similar to 2 years ago and could use a little spiffing up in the room. Highlights this time was the food which is now amazing. The partnership with the James Beard Foundation has made a huge improvement. Service was excellent as always. Staff members really make an effort to remember your name.

Had an opportunity to eat one night at Candles restaurant on the ship. It was very enjoyable. One of best parts of the ship is the lounge behind the bar area where you can go anytime of day and get a drink. in my case Ice Coffee.

Even took advantage of room service on the last night of the cruise and it was a great experience. We generally don't do the excursions and prefer to explore the towns on our own but did do the Wine Tasting in Provence which was wonderful.

Balcony Suite

Cabin BS1

Spacious and well thought out. Enjoyed using the seating area. Bed was very comfortable. Cabin was very clean. Only complaint was that some small areas could use some new paint
