In our late 50s, this was our second cruise on Island Princess, and stepping into our same immaculate balcony stateroom as the first cruise (the Mediterranean for 14 days in 2015) felt like we had come home. This ship of beautiful lines and tasteful appointments has only about 2000 passengers, a comfortable number for us. We were delighted to find our Stateroom Steward, the crew, food options, decor, shipboard activities and entertainment, and shore excursion choices, were of the same high standards as our first cruise. Island Princess makes no claims of pretension, but delivers consistently attentive and thoughtful passenger care, with a minimum of fuss. This is absolutely the best way to see the best of coastal Alaska. (A Must Do is the ZipLine at Icy Strait Point!) An Alaska cruise was a Bucket List dream for me but my husband was not as keen, however, by Day 2 he said: "Everybody should do this cruise and see this just once in their lifetimes." Thank you Island Princess and Princess Cruises - as with our first cruise, we did indeed "come back new".

Glacier Bay

Breathtakingly beautiful and mesmerising, watching huge chunks of icy glacier drop thunderously into the sea. Island Princess was a perfect size to get up close and personal in this stunning area of Alaska.

Vancouver

A magical city. Try to have a few days here before or after your cruise, to really see and experience as much as possible of this extraordinary city.
