Viking is an amazing cruise line - doing almost everything right. Starting from the top, the Captain was visible the entire cruise, he has lunch on the pool deck, dinner in the Aquivit Terrace (along with other officers), and just see him walking around. Seeing the head chef coming on board with a cart full of fresh groceries. The Cruise director and assistant Cruise Director were both always visible and not just at the evening shows. Always serving local favorites in the restaurant and the buffet. The local tour guides were mostly outstanding. This cruise had something for everybody including, g an outstanding guitar soloist, on board historical lecturers, afternoon tea and (big in my mind) NO CASINOS! The itinerary was almost perfect. (I could have used a little longer time in Stockholm and Copenhagen - Tivoli Gardens would have been spectacular at night but we departed port at 6 PM) I have previously done Viking River and thought it couldn't get better than that. Main difference was that River Cruising is 190 passengers, Ocean cruising is 950. Less intimate but just as well taken care of.
Cabin Stewards knew our names immediately after meeting us. very clean
The nature center was amazing, the location of the ship in port afforded views in all directions.
