We specifically chose this cruise because of the itinerary. We were expecting a wonderful experience but from the first night on board our expectations which started very high soon went downhill fast.
I was in the middle of cleaning my teeth when the water went off, no prior warning, it just stopped! After about 10 minutes it eventually came back but it was not clear and looked like coffee. I left the water running but it continued to be coffee coloured so eventually gave up and used the bottled water left in the room. Now this has happened in the past on other ships but usually a notification that the water is going to be turned off at a certain time is given. Just glad I was not in the shower!
I pulled the plug from the sink and the water came flooding out from the drain hole in the bathroom floor, this happened on quite a few occasions.
Cabin Review
Penthouse Suite
Our cabin was surprisingly comfortable, very spacious light and airy. We spent a lot of time in our cabin as the main public areas were not cosy and the chairs uncomfortable. Shame about the balcony loungers which needed replacing but this was the only letdown. Bathroom problems due to lack of maintenance.

Kagoshima
The Senganen Garden was well worth a visit, could have spent all day there, not enough time.
Manila
The Charms of old Manila could have been easily done on foot and taxi independently.
Bali
Unfortnately Bali has changed since we last visited. To get the true essence of Bali you need to escape inland.
Komodo Island
This was the worst tour. We walked for an hour and a half for no real reason in very hot and humid conditions. The dragons are around the waterhole. A shorter walk would have been far more comfortable and enjoyable. A lot of people struggled with the heat. Try doing it independently.
Darwin
We chose to do the Hop On, Hop Off bus tour but the bus is not air conditioned and it did get very hot. Otherwise a good tour.
Cairns
We did an independent tour flying over the Great Barrier Reef with Eagle Air. Would recommend this tour.
Brisbane
Again we booked an independent tour with River City Cruises. This is an excellent tour, commentary very descriptive and you can get food or just tea and coffee on board. Thoroughly recommend. Book on line.
