I would rate the cruise as 4, except for the failure of the cruise-line to take responsibility for the online website error. In future, we will not book through Celebrity's website.
We booked the cruise online and pre-paid gratituities online, but ended up paying an additional $450 for for the cruise, due to an issue with the Celebrity website. The registration information for one of us was either lost or deleted, since upon check-in to the cruise, there was record of only one of us being booked on the cruise, eventhough it was confirmed that we had paid for two. In booking online we also chose to includthe gratuity charges, but it seems that part of our registration was either deleted or lost as well. So the entire online booking hassle from check-in to check-out had become a source of irritation unfortunately. We chose to pay the gratuity cost again because we wanted to ensure that the staff who served us were compensated for their service.
The food was very good quality at Oceanview Cafe, but in my view much less so on several occasions in Moonlight Sonata. With so many choices at the Cafe, it was difficult to not find a choice that suited, especially at the station where fish, chicken or meat could be cooked on the grill while we waited. The choice of breads and deserts were wonderful. At the restaurant, one more than half of those Moonlight Sonata experiences, the quality of food experience was much less so, and the main choices were repetitive. However the restaurant serving staff were great in our experience and made up for the food quality. We ate at the Tuscan Grill twice and it was an excellent experience both times.
It was our first inside cabin; we have always booked one with a deck, but we chose to do this cruise as a sort of last minute decision. The inside cabin didn't interfere with our enjoyment; It was fine, quiet and we slept well. The service and cleaning was fine.
