Despite reading the many negative reviews on CC we decided (at our peril) to ignore these as we thought "how bad can it be?" There are not enough words in the English language to describe how bad this MSC cruise was.
Embarkation was swift and went smoothly. The positives end there!
Our balcony cabin was the smallest we've ever had and there was minimal storage space. We ended up having to leave many of our clothes in a suitcase under the bed. The shower curtain in the bathroom was a terrible idea and just kept sticking to you. Our cabin steward was very apathetic and unhelpful, we had to ask her 3 times for a toilet roll - not acceptable. The preparation for the "UK market" in the cabin was 2 English tea bags. There was one small chair and a tiny table, no use for 2 people. The "dressing table" was littered with items that prevented it from being used for its intended purpose (until they had been out on the floor and table)
The smallest balcony cabin we have ever had. Poorly appointed with minimal storage. Shower curtain in the bathroom was completely pointless and a real nuisance. "Dressing table" covered with various items which needed to be moved before it could be used for its intended purpose. One small chair in the corner and a little table is not acceptable for 2 people. Cabin steward not attentive and very unhelpful.
