The ship itself is lovely. No sewage smells reported on other reviews. There are no language difficulties with the staff ,again reported in other reviews. The food was delicious both in the main restaurants and self service dining areas. The staff in the restaurant were both knowledgable and courteous resulting in an excellent service. The room which had a balcony was always clean and again could not fault the service. The public areas were beautifully decorated and the Swarovski Chrystal staircase was stunning.
The only criticism I have is the number of sun beds. If you are not up early to place your towel or belongings on a bed you have no hope of acquiring one after 12noon. We had to wander all over the ship to find that there were empty beds buds with towels and belongings on. I do not understand why some people resort to this but if enough sun beds were provided there wouldn’t be an issue.
We did experience a ‘rubbish’ shore excursion in Mexico. The excursion was described as ‘luxury’ beach break, I would describe it more like a poor 3 star hotel in Spain as the food was awful and the open bar consisted of cheap fraught beers. I would rather have stayed on the ship as the food was always lovely.
Very comfortable cabin. Spotlessly clean and kept that way throughout the cruise.
