We were looking for a relaxing short break, unfortunately we had the worst cruising experience ever. The ship looked good and appeared to be well appointed. That is where the positives end. The staff are rude and poorly trained, our cabin steward was terrible, we ran out of soap, toilet paper and coffee. He broke a cup and didn't replace it and when we wanted him he was nowhere to be found.

The food was third rate, very limited menu and often the food was cold. The portion sizes varied so much. Our water was served in plastic bottles. The waiting staff were unfriendly and could barely speak English and they were unable to explain anything about the menu. The buffet was poor and the variety was the worst ever unless you wanted to eat Pizza of doubtful quality.

The entertainment was generally below average with the exception of a guitarist/singer in the Topazio bar. One of the bar waitresses, (Evgeniia), excelled and was very attentive and always had a smile. The reception staff were rude and very unhelpful, some had trouble speaking English. All announcements made over the public address were made in 6 languages which was annoying, especially as we were assured that this was no longer the case. The ship was crowded and noisy. Disembarkation was a complete farce ending up as a non supervised free for all. I would never travel with MSC again as clearly the ships management are unable to provide the most basic of acceptable standards.

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B3

Average in size, reasonably clean. Being on deck 12 we were directly below the pool deck where the crew decided to drag the furniture around at 2am every morning, many of us found this to be unacceptable. Our steward was not very attentive and appeared to be uninterested in his job.

Port Reviews

Le Havre

Scenic fishing village with an Historic wooden church. Very enjoyable.
