The Freedom of the Seas is an outstanding cruise ship for any age. If you’re looking for a clean, fun, beautiful ship, you’ve found it. Much to do on board or excursions in port. There are bigger and smaller ships, but this is the sweet spot. Get the drink package, but the extra food packages are not necessary. The food in the main dining room and other included food venues is all quite good. You WILL save $ by pre-booking your packages and excursions BEFORE getting on the ship. The excursions in port all felt very safe and well managed. The Jeep excursion in Costa Maya was good, not great.

The X-PLOR trip in Cozumel was fantastic! Includes zip-lining, ATV riding, cavern rafting and cavern swimming. This one is worth it! The Everglades air-boat trip was good, but only for a first-timer to the Everglades. Book this ship without reservation.
