Picked cruise based on the dates, but it ended up being a great decision. This was my first cruise and did not disappoint. Went through Bayonne with was very easy. Luggage was brought up with no issues. Restaurants we went to were Chops, Izumi, Wonderland, and the Chef's Table. Went to Jamie's and was not impressed at all. Living in NJ you do get spoiled with the quality of the Italian food. Will not go to Jamie's again. Chops was very good and will go to again. Steaks were on bar with Ruth's Chris. Tuna and crab were very tasty, however, I would not describe the shrimp cocktail as colassal, more of just large. Got the 1.5 lobster also and it, like the steak, were cooked perfectly. Wonderland was a very cool place. Our server ordered us all of the appetizers and the only one I didn't like was the eggs. The short rib and peanut butter desert were both amazing. Izumi was very tasty and will got there again. I felt that the Chef's Table wasn't worth the money, not to say it was bad, but I was expecting a better meal. Main dining room meals were very good, and the staff was great. Will do more my next cruise.

For shore excursions our first stop was Port Canaveral. While getting ready to head out on buses we were told that a rocket was being launched. Awesome, except it literally took 3 hours to get there. Luckily our bus had a bathroom. We got to see the launch and it was only a half hour back to the ship. Cococay was beautiful and had the most clear water I have ever seen. My only very, very small complaint was that a lot of the bars ran out of ingredients for the coco loco which is a great drink. We were doing kayaking and got on the first boat to head to the island and got a great spot right next to the water. If the ship stayed there for 3 days it still would have been an amazing vacation. At Nassau did the sea lion experience and water park at Atlantis. My only complaint about it was you get dropped off at the pool area of Atlantic and have to figure out were to go for things, which if you've never been there can be confusing. Sea lion experience was very cool and the water park, while packed, was a worth it.

The shows on board were entertaining and We Will Rock You was more entertaining then a lot of shows I've seen in NYC. Did the wine tasting which I feel wasn't worth it. Also did the ship tour which was cool, but not worth $100/person. Biggest complaint was that there's no teeth to the no children rule in the Solarium. I saw one guy at the bar with what was probably a 4 year old with him. Ship was always very clean and room attendant did a very nice job and would get you whatever you needed when asked. If you go with children it seems like there is a lot for them to do. That being said I already booked a 9 day cruise on the Anthem in August. Will do Chops, Izumi, and Wonderland, otherwise will stick with main dining room.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin was very nice with a great view. If there was any complaint it's that the TV remote had to be very close to work. The soap wasn't the best but thats a simple solution. Room attendant was very pleasant and would get you whatever you needed when asked.
