I have been on many cruises in the past 15 years mostly with Norwegian. Over time, I have noticed the personal service declining especially since gratuity has become shared with everyone and not a certain specific person. Our room steward, Joseph, was on top of things. You ask, you receive. Always had our room spotless and restocked. All staff, over the whole ship, was friendly and courteous. We used the bar service. Drinks were made quickly, strong, and to order. We had the drink package. Make sure you specify which brand name of alcohol you prefer. I also took a stainless steel mug to keep the drinks colder while laying out. There was not as many bar staff walking about the sunning areas as usual.

This was disappointing. There were many lounge chairs to pick from on deck. Just leave your towels tucked in, if you need to run an errand on the ship. It will be there when you get back. We also left all of our sunscreen, hat, glasses, books, etc in a bag on the chair. We also had the dinning package. We picked the Cagney, Le Bistro, Moderno, Tappenyaki. Food was great. We ate at the Cagney last and wish we would have eaten there all 4 meals. The food was the best I have tasted at any restaurant. The service was the best. The waiter Jonathon cared about us and treated us like that. The Moderno is a Brazillian style and meat was seasoned wonderfully. The Tappenyaki is a Japanese steak house. Food was excellent but presentation was not as good as in past. The French restaurant was tasty. Make sure to book special dinning room options prior to sailing. They will fill up on the first day. My only complaint was the wait staff in the main dinning rooms. Everything seemed chaotic. Seemed like everyone was new and in training. They wouldn't clear off old plates before serving the next course. Water glasses were not filled timely. Long waits between courses. Didn't ask kids (13 & 10) regarding drink orders. Served drinks and meals to the wrong people at the table. Reached over to front of us to deliver or pick up dishes, instead of serving from the right. Food was good and good choices but not the best service. My 10 year old attended the day camp and always looks forward to it. She didn't enjoy it much this time. Not a lot of crafty activities to do. My 13 year old daughter was told she had to be in the teenage center with ages from 13-18. Able to check in and out without parent permission. Would be playing arcades and dancing. She and I were not impressed. She didn't ever attend. Great stops. We booked excursions prior to sailing so we could be sure to get the ones we wanted. Overall great, relaxing cruise.

Took our own Taxi to Eagle Beach. Beautiful and calm water. Taxi was $13 for approx 2 mile ride. There were nice restrooms and little restaurant on site. Rental for chairs and umbrella was too much. $20 for umbrella and $10 each for lounge chairs.
