food, as always, was very good on Celebrity, and our cabin steward and waiters were outstanding. The South American ports promised to be quite interesting, but we skipped one, never did cruise through the Chilean fjords, and our time in Puerto Montt was so abbreviated by very late arrival, that shore excursions were cut very short or cancelled because several were 6 to 8 hours long and would have been done after dark when it's very hard to see wildlife and natural wonders in national parks. The Captain never admitted that propulsion problems were at root of some of the delays, though many on Cruise Critic had commented on this issue and noted that ports were skipped as a result on other recent South American cruises. Two days of very rough seas and winds no doubt made the injured propulsion system work even harder than it was capable of. I know Infinity is going into dry dock next week to fix the problem.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 2

Cabin C2

Cabin was fine except for the strange sewer smell that pervaded it the first 3 days. Many passengers complained of same issue, and it could also be smelled outside the theater and in other public spaces. Improved somewhat though not entirely as cruise went on. No good explanations from crew as to what was causing the odor.
