Royal Caribbean is the only cruise line we've sailed on over the last twenty years. This time though may change our minds. The service is always impeccable and the ship is clean. The food was just ok, and the desserts, well you might as well eat a piece of paper, they were so tasteless. They always used to have key lime pie on the last night of the cruise, but that no longer happens. RC has just cheapened the cruise experience and is not very creative. Gone are the ice sculptures, the little carved figures made from fruit, the live music. The little details are scaled back and it's a herd the people onto the ship feel.

They push health and vitality and claim to be a smoke free ship but allow smoking in the casino which reeks whether you're in the casino, in the photo gallery, or even on the promenade. 2 out of 10 people smoke, but that 20% runs the casino and it is just filthy and disgusting. Smokers will blow smoke right at you, even when you're in the non smoking section, which is a little corner of the casino. We couldn't stay more than 15 minutes and came out with our hair and clothes reeking of smoke. Not only that, the employees have to put up with the second hand smoke. There should be smoking outdoors only.

We have no other cruise lines to compare with, but RCCL needs to not cheapen the experience too much more.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E3

The shower was nice and the bathroom roomy enough, better than the bigger ships which have virtually a ledge instead of counter space in the bathrooms. The rooms were nice. We had plenty of storage space. The beds were comfortable. Our cabin steward,Raymond, was a sweetie pie.
