I had always wanted to see Indochina and when the Scenic brochure arrived my mind was made up. The Mekong and Sonle Tap rivers are filled with sites and sounds I had never experienced elsewhere. The river cruise was preceded by a land tour through Vietnam including stops in Hanoi, Hue and Hoi An and finished off with three nights in Siam Reap, Cambodia. The last day of the trip was a sunrise watch at Angkor Wat followed by a champagne breakfast at another temple and culminated in a gala candlelight dinner at yet another temple complex. The evening included traditional entertainment.

The days are always filled with area specific activities which are totally optional but are all very entertaining. For example, one evening in Saigon my wife and I and a dozen others were picked up at our hotel by a fleet of Vespa motorcycles and driven through the busy streets to have dinner with the locals at a sidewalk café followed by another drive to another café for dessert and finished at a second floor jazz bar for drinks and entertainment. This all included in the price of your trip.

Scenic is a first class company and in my mind is the best in that business.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe Suite

Very spacious. The cabin included a sitting area with a loveseat and additional seating for three. The bathroom was the largest that I have ever seen on a ship of any size
