We made a atlantic crossing 2016 with Cunard QM2 from Hamburg to New York. It was New York fashion week theme 9 day cruise. The Programm and Food was excellent. Our cabin and restaurant was Princess Grill Category. We were very happy with this cruise.
Unfortunately this last Cunard cruise was not up to our expectations. We had again a Princess Grill Suite. Eating and dining was not very good, princess Grill menu started repeat itself after 10 days and the quality wasn't always there. Dining experence was dissapointing. Kings Court buffet was only cantine quality!
Passangers were mostly very old and the programm also up to them. This was also very dissapointing.
A part of the cruise route was very strange: Adelaide to Melbourne and then back to Kangaroo Island and once again back to Melbourne! Cunard want only fill the ship with maximum amount passagers!
Cunard is very creedy with the pricing. Internet is lousy, slow and expencive. All the drinks and wines are too expensive and Cunards adds still 15% service fee.
Summary
Cunard QM2 cruise in Princess Grill category was not enough value for money and not up to our expectations.
Every other day toilet was not working. That repeated mostly mornings for 2 hours.
Water supply was cut several times during nights.
Strange extra vibration and knoging noise from outside wall which really made us mad and keptnus wake.
Expensive but good
