The cruise was supposed to be the holiday of a lifetime as we had never travelled to the other side of the world before and we had previously had very good cruises with the company in europe see main issues on cabin review .However the long term saving and planning was ruined by our experience. The entertainment was not very good with only two dancing and singing shows compared to the offerings in europe .The only bright note was the ice shows which were both excellent and very professional. The menu offerings were very bland with not much variety although the waiters were excellent. .Johny Rockets was freezing cold and we felt sorry for the staff who had to work in these conditions.Even the new tea and coffee in cabins was not good as stocks had not been loaded in Singapore or Perth. All in all it was a very poor offering but the company seem to think that a lot what we are saying is our personal opinion and lots of people are very happy with the ship.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E2

The cabin was showing signs of age with burn holes in worktops and wash basin surfaces even though smoking had not been allowed for a long time. The main issue was the balcony which was very corroded and dangerous when reported this to guest relations I was told that it was an old ship and even if we could be moved the cabin would be much the same incidentitly it took until Wellington for even half a repair to be done so all of this time we were unable to use the balcony due to possible injury. On the ship we were offered a 15% discount off our next cruise which we considered derogatory Incidentily there were other issues but we have just highlighted the main one.We followed up with a letter to the head office in Miami who felt that they had been very reasonable and there would be no further discussion. We have been on several cruises with the company before which were very good and feel that this ship is the very poor relation.
