Sail Date: Feb 2018
Cabin: Club Deluxe Veranda Stateroom

We were originally planning a driving holiday to New Zealand in February but when this cruise popped up in an email from our travel agent it seemed a great opportunity. We were attracted by the size of the ship and the inclusions. It was a bit disappointing that we did not leave from the Overseas Cruise Terminal but instead from White Bay but embarkation was smooth. We thoroughly enjoyed the 14 days. The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra concert followed by the fireworks was truly 'Azamazing'!

The organisation and attention to detail in all areas was impressive. It was no surprise that many people had cruised with Azamara before and I think we will also become repeat guests. We were impressed with the food quality and variety especially in Discoveries Restaurant but not big fans of the times when the only option was a buffet. We ate at Aquilina and Prime C but on the whole found we were just as happy at Discoveries. We also enjoyed the breakfast and lunch offerings at Windows, especially good for fresh fruit and salads. The lectures by Dr Fopp were an unexpected highlight.

Cabin Review

Club Deluxe Veranda Stateroom

Cabin VX

While the cabin was not large, it was well-laid out, with sufficient drawer and hanging space to be able to unpack and stow suitcases under the bed. The bathroom was tiny, especially the shower but there was always plenty of hot water. The cabin location was excellent even though we did not choose it ('guarantee balcony'). Very close to the lift but we never heard corridor noise and we could use the stairs to go to the main restaurant and to get on and off the ship on shore days. Vitaliy and Andrei came in twice a day to keep it spic and span and were most obliging. We enjoyed the balcony ( breakfast on the balcony in Milford Sound was amazing) and the added bonus of having the gangway below to watch the coming and goings in port.
