This cruise was purchased by my Husband for my 60th Birthday.
HAMBURG - We spent an afternoon and morning in Hamburg, went to Hotel and then walked into Hamburg, visited the area around Speicherstadt, really just wandered around but the area was interesting with lots of photos, next day was Embarkation which was a breeze, we arrived at the allotted time and our luggage was taken and a number given and we were told to go inside and sit down, our embarkation was around 4.30, so I would say after the busy time but number was called quickly and we were able to go onboard.
CABIN - Was a balcony Stateroom, just right with comfy bed and a balcony which we used quite a bit. Our tags and everything were on our bed and help was available when we went to log our tags in. There was a small hiccup when the drill was done that our tags had not been counted (now that could be because we had not yet logged in, but there were a few people who got a letter saying they were not recorded and had to go to another drill. Fortunately we got that sorted, no big deal.

Balcony Stateroom
Cabin was great, bed so comfortable with balcony which we used quite a bit, didn't think it was that cold. Cabin staff were excellent

Kirkwall
Tour to Skara Brae was in afternoon, so a chance to walk around the town, free shuttle, lovely English town with castle ruins and lovely cathederal. Visit to Skara Brae was informative and historical, enjoyed it very much.
Hamburg
Hamburg was a disappointment, City has lots of history and a great tourist area, Miniature World should be a must. But I found it dirty, grafitti, grass in pavement and rubbish around. I have seen it and most likely would not go back again.
