The room was rather spacious with a closet. The bathroom was elegantly designed. Small, but comfortable. We had two chairs and a desk in room. We also had the drink service because we paid for D category. I would say that was worth it. Turn down is twice a day, and your steward is good about making sure passengers are kept abreast of activities. The wall mounted flat screen TV was very nice, and the movie selection was top notch.

It was a rainy day and the port was empty. It was an average embarkation, and they provided lunch to us while they were preparing our room. If you are not above 65, be prepared for cranky travelers and trouble getting up into the boat.

New York (Manhattan)

We went right past it as we we back to shore since a 90 year old woman broke her hip and they couldn't get the coast guard to come to where we were, so we traveled backward toward Norfolk, VA. Therefore we bypassed Bermuda and kept it moving.

Hamilton

It was a nice ride around. We had about 10 other couples onboard with us. They kept the alcohol flowing, and we had a simple lunch onboard.

We barely saw any fish, and we had trouble navigating with the snorkel. If you wear glasses, bring your own snorkel that allows to fit over your glasses, my husband said all he saw were blobs in water.

That island area we went through was frightening and not tourist friendly. They took us to a private house and let us walk through a botanical garden. It was boring, and we didn't really have fun there. Gift shops were good here though.

They didn't tell us that we would be walking in 90+ degrees and humidity in Curacao. Then it rained. Then we all got sunburned when the bus showed up almost an hour late, then it took us to an oil rig. My husband and I were disgusted. It was terrible.

We were so sunburned we just stayed on the bus. They took us to the natural bridge which was broken, and you had to pay 1.00 to use the restroom. We saw an old church. We saw a desert where they did stations of the cross. We never saw the ocean or got to play at the beach.

This was a good one. We paid out of pocket for it, but they took us and 2 other couples to a private drive on the side of the mountain. We went to a fountain of youth through orange groves. Don't let viking lie to you. Wear or bring flip flops so you can get in the water. Hubby wore hiking boots and the driver loaned him his own crocs, and I went in with my socks and shoes. The trip was nice and we enjoyed the jerk chicken and red stripe outside. We really liked that excursion. We did not like Viking not telling us how to dress, and appropriate stuff to wear.

Okay, this is a typical tourist trap. Not worth going there because there's a gift shop and they push you to buy and not much else.

The driver let us go to the water by the governor's mansion. That was the highlight of Grand Cayman. The other was that it was rushed and we bought some booze and rum cake. We were taken around a metropolitan area where the chickens run wild.

We went to the turtle farm. I was not impressed. I didn't go to the Caribbean to see some turtles.

They did not give us good information, and we had no idea that we would never go on the beach except for Grand Cayman where our tour driver let us out to dip our feet in the water.We had a nice time, even though we were the youngest on the cruise by about 40 years.
