Cabin: Outside Stateroom with French Balcony
We wanted something special for our 50th anniversary, and we were not disappointed.
This was our first cruise of any kind. We have always been budget travelers, but we wanted something special. We realize that Avalon is not considered a luxury line, but it sure seemed luxurious to us! We chose Avalon because they had larger standard cabins than other lines. The cabin was indeed roomy and extremely well appointed. We loved the huge window, and we are sure we would have loved the way it opens if we had not been cruising in December!
The service was wonderful. Our every need was addressed almost before we thought of it, yet it was unobtrusive.

Very comfortable. Well-appointed. Roomy, luxurious bathroom with excellent shower and plenty of storage. L'Occitaine bath products added note of luxury. Bed facing huge window was wonderful--great to lie there and watch Germany go by!
