This particular cruise was chosen for the itinerary of exploring Wesreern Australia. We knew we’d never be able to visit all the ports that Azamara Journey called on without going on a cruise. Having visited Queensland and Victoria many times, we wanted to explore the west coast. The best was Kangaroo Island and the all day shore excursion to view kangaroos and koalas in the wild.

Having experienced three previous cruises on Celebrity, we were interested in trying a smaller vessel. Azamara Journey did not disappoint. We were particularly pleased with the staff and crew in every area, from the cabin attendants to the wait staff to the officers on the ship. Everyone was more than cordial and went out of their way to engage, converse, and make you feel welcome. While the larger ships offer more in the way of entertainment, the smaller vessel offered a chance for everyone to get to know others from around the world.
