Carnival Legend docked at Port Arthur
Lido Restaurant - Unicorn Cafe

Took my mother for her 79th Birthday on the Carnival Legend. We flew to Sydney and embarked on the Carnival as per the time which was selected (12.30 to 1). I also booked the airport transfers which was very convenient. Checking in was busy but very smooth. As soon as we were on the ship we were able to explore the ship and also sample the buffet restaurant till our room was ready. Our room was ready by 1.30 and our bags were waiting at the door when we decided to check out our room. The cabin was clean and a towel animal was sitting on one of the beds, this was a daily ritual we had a different animal each day. Boben was in charge of our daily room cleaning, he did a fine job and was very friendly. Each evening we ate at the Truffles restaurant and the waiters were also very friendly and addressed us by our first names. Service was excellent and the showtime entertainment during our evening meal was fantastic. Our waiters Oleg, Endra and Swatra did a fine job each night. Evening Shows were of a professional standard and the Cruise director Matt very entertaining. Disembarking off the ship on shore excursion days worked smoothly and everyone was back on board punctually. Bingo on board was a lot of fun but didn't win. Casino on board with pokies machines was another form of entertainment. Other events like trivia, Karaoke was a lot of fun too. The Hairy Chest Competition was a lot of fun too. Also on board a lot of areas were you could have quiet time and just read a book. Overall a great 5 day escape.
