We selected this cruise because of the fabulous itinerary. Lots of fabulous countries and wonderful shore excursions were offered.

Outstanding: Ship, crew, service, food, layout of our veranda cabin (tons of bathroom storage), comfortable bed, lovely veranda. Wonderful lectures and entertainment.

Poor: Disappointing is the way Viking handles ocean shore excursions. Those guests who have deluxe veranda cabins or suites get to select their shore excursions first, even if they have booked months after those of us who booked and paid for this cruise a year in advance. By the time we could select and book several shore excursions, they were already sold out! We were visiting many countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Germany, Poland, etc.). We were so looking forward to some shore excursions that we really wanted to do and they were gone before we even had a chance to book. For this reason, I probably will not do an ocean cruise with them again (unless they change this policy).
