My room was flooded due to leaky window, ship smelled like strong sulfur from Day 1 to end of cruise, massive numbers of people got sick on this cruise (including me), most excursions were cancelled due to cold/windy weather, and the ones that weren't were awful. Entertainment was subpar, which made the whole experience even more excruciating. Appears someone wasn't checking oil on steering gear, so steering locked up while we were in the middle of the ocean; could only make right turns (not left); ship had a strong left tilt. Terrified that the ship would not be able to steer around other boats to avoid collisions as we made our way back to the closest port. This technical mishap delayed trip home by two days, making an already horrendous stay on this ship even worse. As is characteristic of Royal Caribbean, they were understaffed. Given that most excursions were cancelled/not practical due to weather, folks stayed on ship most days. The staff could not keep up with this number of people, and keeping the ship clean (especially dining areas) was impossible. Hundreds of people had GI problems at some point during the cruise, and practically the entire dining room was coughing and hacking by the last two days of the cruise. Essentially this was an 11-day sentence on a disease-ridden ship, which stunk and was unsafe to sail. Not only did I waste my valuable vacations time and money for this cruise, but lost 2 additional days of salary due to lost work, given delay getting back to home port. Ouch... will be a long time before I am willing to take another cruise, and sincerely doubt it will ever be on Royal Caribbean.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

FIrst room flooded in the middle of the night due to leaky window and we were switched to another room. Second room had a mold problem which was not properly addressed.
