Cruised on the Crown Princess from Ft Lauderdale to Honduras and Cozumel. We chose this cruise for the itinerary. We were looking for a short getaway and we wanted to visit a port we had not gone to in the past; Honduras. We previously cruised on the Regal Princess and thought we'd try Princess again.
Embarkation/disembarkation was quick and easy. The ship needs some TLC. Lots of rust, chipped paint, old carpet. Cabin was a mini-suite (D422). Two TV's, queen size bed, sofa bed, fridge, balcony, bathroom with a tub. We did anytime dining. The menu was the same at all of the dining rooms including the dining room reserved for elite and premier passengers. Room service was the best dining option on this cruise. Other than the limited menu, the staff was fast, friendly and never made a mistake on our order.
We saw a comedy act and a version of the Dating Game. Both were enjoyable and worthwhile. There were movies on deck and shows in the theater. We did not go to the theater but we did watch the movie on deck.
Large cabin, queen size bed, sofa bed, two TV's, bathtub, large balcony. Balconies are staggered so people above you can see you on your balcony. Select a hihger deck if you want privacy.
Rained on the day we arrived at this port. Beach looked nice but we didn't go there.
Very expensive as far as souvenirs go. Buy them elsewhere.
Beautiful water. Good Mexican food. Very aggressive salespeople. You can haggle and get really good prices. Got two silver bangles. Price started at $73 each and I got them 2 for $8.
