We chose this cruise line on the advice of a well-traveled friend. The dates suited us as we wanted to enjoy the Christmas feel of Europe.
Although out flight into Basel was quite early we were able to head straight to the ship, leave our luggage and enjoy snacks in the lounge while our stateroom was readied. The housekeeping staff had our room ready in a short time and we were able to unpack and get settled.
From day one we were impressed with our cruise manager, Dejan and the other staff. Everyone was cheerful and eager to make our trip a pleasure. We found the food in the main restaurant to be plentiful, varied and quite delicious. The special German lunch and Captain's Gala dinner were highlights. Our frequent waiter, Stanley and beverage waitress, Diana, were always looking out for our needs and wishes. We also had an amazing meal one night at the Chef's table which was a gourmet delight.
The room was more than adequate. Very clean, comfortable bed, ample closet space, safe and nice bathroom. Our cabin was very quiet as well. A little more drawer space would have been appreciated.
I recently broke my ankle and am still in an orthopedic boot. The housekeeping staff provided a shower stool which made showering very convenient for me.
