We just got back yesterday from our 10-day southern caribbean cruise on the Sun. Our cabin was absolutely great. No complaints whatsoever. It was so much bigger than any other inside cabin we've ever been on. The service was also very good on this cruise. Everyone was attentive and very friendly. We had the unlimited ultimate beverage package and this was the first time we had gotten that. I have to say I was also blown away that the drinks were very good and not watered down at all. The bartenders were great and had no issues when we asked for a "double" top-shelf. The only complaint I have about the cruise is the entertainment and also the fact that online in many different places this ship is said to have been "refurbished" in 2016. The only thing we saw that possibly was new was the carpeting. Everything else was pretty worn or in need of replacement (BUT it was clean so no complaints there). But for instance our shower had spots where it had been repaired with a brownish silicone or something and around the sink grout was missing. We noticed a lot of worn furnishings and in the theater there were seats ripped etc. The entertainment in the main theater was not too bad. A few shows were cheesy but that usually happens and is just a matter of taste. The comedian the last night was hilarious and not vulgar or dirty which was great. BUT the actual music on the ship...the California Roll band?? OMG who auditioned them??? They missed lines on almost every song they sang and could not hold a tune to save their lives. They tried real hard but the very first time we saw them we thought we were on a Saturday Night Live skit! They were HORRIBLE. One of our friends said they did better on Latin night (we didn't see that show) but man especially on a 10-day cruise we couldn't believe there wasn't better music. It would have been better to have the DJ play from 10:00 pm on instead and at least people would dance. Again, everything else was pretty good and we had a nice relaxing trip. About the ship itself (which I don't think would be changed) the only other thing I did not care for compared to other ships was there were only 4 small hot tubs. So when you would get in all your legs would touch.....which is gross. One of my favorite things to do is relax in the hot tub and I only went once because rubbing legs with people I don't know is just not my thing. The quality of the food was great and again, the size of the interior cabin made up for a lot of the other minor things.
