Cabin: Yacht Club Deluxe Suite

We chose MSC after hearing how wonderful the Yacht Club is. The suite, 16014, was on deck 16 and under the cafe dining area of deck 18. Early morning we heard chairs being moved or dropped. Discussing with the Congierge, this was the first time they've heard this complaint. I seriously doubt this. Would suggest deck 15 so only suites are above you.

Embarking was a nice experience. Dropping off luggage at the special MSC Yacht Club tent and being escorted aboard was very nice. While checking in at a private desk, offered prosecco, snacks or other beverages. Then you are wisked aboard and shown to your suite where another bottle of prosecco is waiting. Your luggage has to go through usual screening so it will arrive later but still early in comparison to other passengers. The suite is small compared to other cruise line suites, probably the same as a balcony cabin on RCI or Celebrity. The walk-in closet with drawers is adequate. The TV is small with limited channels. If we had to watch CNN one more day, believe hubby would have jumped overboard. Desk area has one small center drawer, with hair blower, but lighting is poor to be used as a makeup area. Two 110 outlets available as well. The minibar is stocked with snacks we never opened. The balcony has 2 short back chairs and 1 ottoman, no table. The bathroom is also small for suite standards. Enough shelving for toiletries and the towels are good quality. There is a makeup mirror mounted over the sink. Bath products replenished even if not used. The mattress was wonderful, a true mattress. Also request for firm pillows from our butler quickly appeared. They were memory foam and wanted to bring them home! The private lounge and pool areas are very nice. Always a lounge available. Loved having breakfast overlooking the sea or port enjoying personally made omelettes.

The staff in the Yacht Club are very personable and generally concerned for your enjoyment of the cruise. But the butler thing, like most other ships, is little more than a gimmick. Rarely saw him or had interaction. Butlers on Oceania and Celebrity are more visible.

Yacht Club Deluxe Suite

Cabin YC1

Under The One Pool area and heard tables and chairs being moved early in morning. Small suite in comparison to Penthouse on Oceania, SKY on Celebrity or Grand Suite on RCI.

Port Reviews

Antigua

Was there 3 years ago and hasn't changed. Go to Cheers for a beer and free wi-fi.

St. Thomas

Trip to downtown to shop at Imperial Jewelers. Was pleased to see new location and all the family/employees well after hurricanes. Hoping all residents get their power back soon!

Nassau

Been there too many time. Just off to stretch legs and go to Hard Rock for one of best Bloodies and wi-fi.
