Wanted to go on a western Caribbean cruise. These ports looked interesting. Loved our cabin, but one minor hiccup. We were directly under the weight machines and treadmills. So at 6 am like clockwork, would get woken up to pounding from these machines.

Elegant night at MDR sucked. I got the chicken. It was rubbery and crunchy. Two things a chicken shouldn’t ever be. I sent it back and got the pork chop. Was much, much better. Second time (day 3 of cruise) we went to MDR, got the chicken (thinking they had a really bad night the first time), nope same thing. I let Carnival’s brand ambassador know and the next night, suddenly everyone “cared” about what we ate, Yada Yada Yada.

The entertainment, I felt wasn’t worth going to partake in. All except the Christmas Caroling with Santa visit. Still it seemed very abridged and not well thought out. It was at the Magic’s atrium, very cramped and crowded.

Cabin Review

Spa Suite

Cabin SS

We have a spa suite, 11206. The cabin was directly under the exercise room which is on deck 12. We were on the port side. The cabin was huge for three people. It easily fit three people, two adults and one 17-year-old plus my mobility scooter and all of the luggage. When you first walked in there was a mirror to your right and the bathroom immediately to your left. There is a little vanity the area before you get to the bathroom, which has two sinks, and a spa tub/shower. Off to your left hand side as you go further in there’s the TV set up with a little desk, and to your right there’s a desk with refrigerator. There was a lot of shelf space and cabinet space to hide things. There was an abundance of closets, there was a closet in the vanity/bathroom, and there was a closet in the main room. The sofa turns into a bed, as well as two twin beds convert to a king. I wasn’t too impressed with the balcony. True there was room for two chairs and a little table plus also for a lounge chair. But to be honest you didn’t need the lounge chair. I would much rather have had another two chairs.
